One of an original set of 12 plates issued by Westtown School, Westtown, Chester County, Pa. This particular plate is an eighth edition issue from 1973 and is in MINT condition. No signs of use or crazing or flaws. Plate is 10.5" in diameter with a tulip poplar and sampler boarder. Made in England by Wedgewood Co. These plates were discontinued in the early 1980's. This is a lovely scene of the entire upper campus, seen from above, in 1910-20's when the drawings were made by school art teacher, George Whitney, friend and neighbor of NC Wyeth.
